Best maps and monsters for every level bracket on SpaceRO. Rates are balanced — read the tips to grind smart, not just hard.
Novice
Level 1 – 10
Maps
- Training Grounds (Novice Island)
- Prontera South Field(prt_fild08)
Monsters
- Poring— Easy drops, great for beginners
- Lunatic— Fast spawn, decent EXP
- Fabre— Good for physical classes
Complete the Training Grounds quests first — they give a decent starter EXP boost and some zeny.
Early Grind
Level 11 – 20
Maps
- Prontera North/South Fields(prt_fild01–08)
- Payon Field(pay_fild01)
Monsters
- Picky— MVP for ranged early classes
- Chonchon— Strong EXP for the level
- Poporing— Slightly harder, better EXP
- Willow— Payon area, good card
Group up with other novices — party EXP share is worth it even in these early levels.
First Class
Level 21 – 30
Maps
- Payon Cave F1(pay_dun00)
- Mjolnir Field(mjolnir_01–03)
Monsters
- Zombie— Undead — use Fire or Holy
- Skeleton— Great for mages with Fire Bolt
- Mandragora— Mjolnir, decent drops
- Peco Peco— High EXP if you can handle them
Change into your first job before heading to Payon Cave — the EXP curve is balanced around having a job class.
Mid Grind
Level 31 – 40
Maps
- Payon Cave F2–F3(pay_dun01–02)
- Geffen Field(gef_fild01)
Monsters
- Soldier Skeleton— Strong Undead, good EXP
- Sohee— Payon Cave, great loot
- Poison Spore— Geffen area, card is valuable
- Rocker— Good for Archer classes
If you're a Priest/Mage, Payon Cave F2 is a goldmine. Warrior types may prefer Geffen Field for more straightforward grinding.
Finding Your Groove
Level 41 – 50
Maps
- Orc Village(gef_fild10)
- Bibilan Dungeon F1(iz_dun00)
- Sograt Desert(moc_fild)
Monsters
- Orc Warrior— Tanky, great EXP per kill
- Orc Lady— Good drops, card is useful
- Hydra— Bibilan F1, insane card value
- Sand Man— Sograt, good for ranged
Hydra cards are worth a fortune — even if the EXP is average at Bibilan, the zeny potential makes it worthwhile.
Pushing Harder
Level 51 – 60
Maps
- Orc Dungeon F1–F2(orcsdun01–02)
- Geffen Dungeon F1(gef_dun01)
Monsters
- High Orc— Strong, great base EXP
- Dark Illusion— Geffen Dungeon, high job EXP
- Succubus / Incubus— Dark-property, good loot
- Horong— Easy to kill, decent rate
Orc Dungeon F2 is crowded at peak hours — come with a party or try early morning. Geffen Dungeon is a great solo alternative.
Mid-High
Level 61 – 70
Maps
- Sphinx F4–F5(in_sphinx04–05)
- Clock Tower F3(c_tower3)
- Turtle Island(tur_dun01–02)
Monsters
- Anubis— Sphinx F5 — best for Priest/High Priest
- Bathory— Clock Tower — Shadow property, good card
- Minorous— Sphinx, great for physical classes
- Turtle General— MVP, drops useful equips
Anubis at Sphinx F5 is arguably the best leveling spot for Holy/Support classes through the 60s and into the 70s.
High-End Prep
Level 71 – 80
Maps
- Glast Heim St. Abbey(gl_church)
- Clock Tower F4(c_tower4)
- Sunken Ship F2(treasure02)
Monsters
- Raydric— GL Churchyard — strong physical
- Wanderer— GL Abbey — good card
- Wraith— Undead, melts to Magnus Exorcismus
- Alarm— Clock Tower F4 — card worth billions
If you have Magnus Exorcismus, Glast Heim Abbey (Wraith/Evil Druid) is some of the fastest EXP in the game at this bracket.
Late Game
Level 81 – 90
Maps
- Glast Heim Chivalry(gl_cas01)
- Nameless Island(nameless_n / abbey01)
- Niflheim Field(nif_fild01)
Monsters
- Ogretooth— GL Chivalry, high EXP
- Ancient Worm— Nameless Island, very high base EXP
- Dullahan— Niflheim, undead, good loot
- Gibbet— Niflheim Field — fast spawn
Nameless Island becomes accessible and is among the best maps in the game at this level range. Bring good gear — monsters hit hard.
Final Push
Level 91 – 99
Maps
- Nameless Island Abbey(abbey01–03)
- Thanatos Tower F5+(tha_t05–07)
- Abyss Lake(abyss_01–03)
Monsters
- Necromancer— Nameless Abbey — massive EXP
- Retribution— Thanatos Tower — elemental weakness needed
- Detardurus— Thanatos — strong but great EXP
- Dragon Egg / Ferus— Abyss Lake — high EXP, tough
The final stretch is slow solo. Party up at Nameless Abbey or Thanatos Tower for dramatically faster progress. Coordinate class compositions for maximum efficiency.
